Long Road to the ATA

After 12 long hours of straight driving we had finally arrived in Atlanta, Georgia, home of the 2007 ATA show.  We dropped off our luggage at our hotel and then headed to the Frady’s hotel room for a strategy meeting.  Once we arrived we were greeted with open arms from Lynne and Jim Frady and Lisa Metheny.

The next morning came early as we got ready for the day’s events.  After some juice and Krispy Kreme donuts we were ready to hit the show.

James, Michael, Morgan and me entered the huge room and started making our way around.  I had names, locations and a map ready for our journey.  I meant serious business.

We slowly made our way around most of the room to visit with all our sponsor partners.  It is always nice to see our sponsors from year to year to catch up and see how things are going.  It never gets old looking at the new toys that are coming out and just catching up with good friends.

Saturday was another great day at the show.  Morgan decided to take over the Advantage/Realtree booth.  She had a great time meeting people and passing out all the freebies.  She has officially been dubbed the new Realtree Girl.

Michael on the other hand was not near as enthusiastic as Morgan.  As you can see from the photograph, he took advantage of Realtree’s couch and took a nap.

Next we headed over to the Muzzy booth for the presentation of the Tall Man award.  Our East Coast Directors, Jim and Lynne Frady, were receiving this prestigious award and we wouldn’t miss it for the world.  Jim and Lynne are very deserving of the award and we are very proud of them and are just thrilled that we were able to play a role in it.

Once the presentation was complete we said our goodbyes and headed west.  We got as far as Pearl, Mississippi before we decided to call it a night.  We got up early Sunday and headed to Vicksburg, Mississippi where the kids enjoyed a day at the Civil War Museum.
